I have spent close to 12 years instructing workshops and loved every minute.

In 2010 cofounding Open Eye Art & had a blast designing over 90 interactive art workshops with over 7000 participants in and around Portland, OR. I know a ton about collaboration(lots of room for improvement there) and even more about how to get people excited about creating. I have insatiable curiosity and knowledge about dozens of craft & art techniques and I am really good at sharing .

Join artist/illustrator and cofounder of Open Eye Art, Jennifer Winship Mark for this 5-hour workshop at Cargo and learn the art of giant paper flower sculpting. Jennifer will guide students through the process of cutting, shaping, coloring and constructing using Cargo’s amazing & versatile Italian crepe papers. Join Jennifer for a fun afternoon that is perfect for seasoned artists as well as art dabblers. Say “yes” to creating a stunning 14” Peace Rose “headress/wall sculpture”. A fun work of art you can both wear on your head & enjoy on your wall!  Students will learn all the basic tricks and skills to craft any size rose, leaf and stem. You will leave with your finished flower and the templates, know how and instructions for making more flowers at home.  All materials and delicious local  refreshments will be included. Students will have a lunch break in order to wander Cargo & all the great local restaurants .

Join paper artist, Jennifer Winship Mark and learn to craft realistic Icelandic poppies using the highest quality German & Italian crepe papers, pastels,wire and glue. You will learn all the basic skills to craft your flowers +leaves and will finish the workshop with up to 3 completed flowers. Take away all the skills needed to create flowers at any scale at home.
